FAQ

WHY DIVING?

For a thousand reasons! Diving is a way to fly, to experience things so few ever will, to explore, learn, and to challenge your view on everything. Diving calls some people to it and catches others by suprise, but when you find it, or rather, it finds you, you have found a part of yourself.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DIVING?

Erin has been diving since 2012. Though it had been a dream for most of her life, it took volunteering for reef research to finally  get her in the water.

Paul was later to the scene. In March of 2015, he decided to make a huge change in his lifestyle and chose to become an instructor before he ever strapped on his first BCD. Luckily, he was a natural in the water and is loving the experience of diving. Even more, he is enjoying getting to help other people develop.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO DIVE?

It's hard to pick your favorite from so many beautiful places and amazing dives. Erin's favorite dive would have to be in Whyalla, Australia with the giant cuttlefish, or anywhere at night! After completing her thesis on these amazing creatures, it was a life-changing experience to get to interact with them.

Paul started his diving life in Utila, and so this island will always hold a special place in his heart, but after the experience in Borneo, his wonder with the natural expanse and biodiversity has won out.

WHERE IS YOUR DREAM DIVE SITE?

For Paul, that is Fiji. It has always been his dream to visit Fiji. And, now that he is a diver, he would really be able to experience the island like it deserves to be experienced.

This question is a little harder for Erin, as she has dreamed her entire life of diving the perimeter of  Thetis, a small Canadian Island, where she spent every summer as a child. But, since experiencing some warm water sites, the idea of the Cook Islands is one that she can not shake.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES OUTSIDE DIVING?

Vast and various! We both enjoy a bit of an adrenaline rush, hence the diving, but, we are not your standard 'rush seekers'. Paul likes his speed to come from a finely tuned motorcycle or a high-end car, while Erin is more of a skydive and bungee jump type of person. Both of us are constantly driven to learning and developing ourselves, which leads to an amazing range of experience.

DO YOU TEACH OTHER SUBJECTS?

Absolutely. Both of us have worked in various teaching roles. Erin has over eight years of being in front of the classroom. Her experience ranges from teaching kindergarden to adults, and in subjects as varied as Fire Safety to the Science of Cotton Candy! (Her favorite may have been the cotton candy.) She can currently teach belly dance, fire-eating and Red Cross Emergency First Aid.

Paul's teaching has been primarally based in the business end of things, but he is current in global calibrations, Health and Safety, and Auditing.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR WORK RIGHT NOW???

Yes we are! In fact, right now you may be looking at this site because we are actively seeking employment in the diving industry. With health on the horizon after Paul's brush with cancer. we are looking forward to new beaches, smiles, and adventures wherever the tide takes us. If we sound like a good fit for your dive shop, please contact us! We'd love to find out more about you!
